Google has just revealed their latest venture in gaming, Google Stadia, a game streaming service that will allow anyone to play games with any devices with a screen. It seems so impressive, as it allows you to play high-end quality games on basic devices such as a Chromebook, wow!
So how does that work? Basically, instead of running the games locally on your devices, you stream the games straight from the Google data centers, which they claim will remove the restriction of console specified released for developers and gamers.
Other than that, Google also showcased the feature of moving the gameplay seamlessly from a tablet to a phone and then to a TV. Although you can use the controllers that you already own, the Stadia controller designed for this service will provide more features, like it connects directly through wifi to the game you are streaming to reduce latency issues that might occur at that level, and it will have a google assistant button built in to help you if you ever got stuck, and it also automatically connects to the device you are using to play so that you won't have to pair the controller to every device that you switch to.
Google will also implement features like stream connect that will allow for couch coop, this is a feature that I personally really look forward to, as it always feels just a bit more lively when you're playing with people sitting right beside you. Also, there will also be a feature called Crowd Play tha will allow views to go into a streamers session and click a button to join whatever game that they are playing.
The Google Stadia is currently scheduled to be launched this year, although no exact date has been given.
