Are you about to leave home to study somewhere
else? Or do you simply travel to different places very often? Well, here are
some gadgets that can potentially make your life easier!
1.
Extension plugs
Trust me when I say, these are actually one of the most
useful pieces of hardware that one can have while travelling. I can tell you
from experience that most of the rooms/hostels you get will have at most 2 wall
sockets, and sometimes one of them is hidden behind your bedframe or a cupboard.
What are you to do when you have to charge your phone and laptop and possibly
plug in some other electronics?
This is where the extension plugs come in! I can’t tell you
how much my life of travelling got way easier after I’d decided to always have
an extension plug in my backpack.
2. Laptop
backpack
Well, this one speaks for itself, it is really important
for to have a sturdy backpack to keep your laptop in when you are constantly transporting
it around, especially if you have to use public transport, a laptop backpack is
perfect for the job!
The SKM laptop backpack is pretty great, not only does it
look slick, it also has quite a decent storage capacity, an anti-theft lock and
even a built-in charger! Quite useful if you ask me.
3.
Noise-cancelling headphones
I never had much use for headphones prior to studying
abroad, and my headphones really made the daily commute to and from school more
bearable.
The
Sony MDR-XB950N1 Extra Bass headphones are
pretty great, it produces really crisp and fresh audio with deep bass and most
importantly its cushions are really comfortable, and it is wireless! Perfect
for your daily commute.
4. Laptop
This
goes without saying, if you’re going to be going aboard, what can be more
important than a great laptop for you to completely your assignments and
entertain yourself?
There
are all sorts of laptops, but I feel like the Razer Blade Pro is a great choice
to go with. It is really thin and light but unexpectedly powerful, being able
to run most games smoothly, it should be able to help you with high quality
work and entertainment.
1. Google Drive
This
isn’t a gadget per se, but it is an incredibly useful tool for you and your
fellow course-mates when working on a group assignment or simply as a hub to
share notes on. Other than that, Google Docs and Google Forms are also equally
useful on some occasions.
And
the most important part? They are completely free of charge! All you need is a
google account to be able to access all of these tools, although there is a
paid option, I’ve never actually felt the need to upgrade, as the free versions
are already very good.
